A Summer In A Town

By Different Gravy x Arc Youth Centre

Over the course of summer Different Gravy delivered analogue photography workshops to the young people of ARC aged between 11-17. The ambition was to build a body of work surrounding themes of self representation and agency in photography, culminating in a community exhibition.

Over the proceeding months the young people got their hands on 35mm, medium format, Polaroid and super 8 cameras. They learnt how to use analogue equipment, how to compose an image and most importantly tell a story through visual narratives, and through that, they’re created a story that has been lead by their vision and creativity.
