Alright Sunshine

Alright Sunshine by Alex Picasso is a body of work exploring his idea of masculinity and perception of Britishness.

Taking pictures of his friends and family as well as spontaneous moments, Alex uses his camera to diary and journal everyday moments as well as to construct versions of his own reality.

Working in the darkroom, Alex experiments with his images especially utilising alternative black & white processes in his work.

The darkroom offers further escapism and a source for deeper connection to the images. Alex aims to have a conversation with the past through his images, contemplating ideas around heritage, generational values and the changes in British culture.
